Raised in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, surrounded by an extended family of musicians and storytellers, Jason D.Thompson honed his particular style of country blues growing up on his family farm in Missouri. After the loss of the family farm Jason took to the road hopping trains and hitchhiking with guitar in hand. Once he hit the west coast, Jason headed south for a solo journey through Mexico and eventually found himself touring across mainland Europe and the U.K. Throughout the years Jason has been lucky enough to share the stage with artists such as The Barnyard Stompers, Hollowbelly, Reed Turchi, Dylan Walshe & Long Line Down, among others. Jason can be found everywhere from street corners to festival stages such as the The Carolina Pine Music Festival, the Van Thom Weekender festival in Germany, and The Dark Holler Festival and Hen Fest in England. He now tours full-time performing as a one man band or with his longtime drummer Kurtis Bento. In 2015 Jason self-recorded and released his first solo E.P. on his newly established record label Hollerin’ Records. The album gained quick recognition, acknowledged as one of the top 15 albums of 2015 by the Star News, and was featured on Radiolux in Paris and Road Dogs Radio here in the states. Now a’days Jason and Kurtis tour extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe and deliver a true American Roots Music Experience that keeps folks grinding on the dance floor and drinking away their troubles.
